A yellow mix of cultured-opal colour enlivens this miniature circle stud. The 7mm sterling-silver earring is deliberately uncomplicated, allowing its colourful surface to bring a bright note without asking for anything more around it.
Its opal is made with silica in controlled lab conditions rather than mined, using a production method developed in Japan during the 1970s. Stronger than natural opal, it joins a design by Makers & Providers in Australia with the ethical work of Mexican artisans.
