Handcrafted Wavy Copper Torque – Designed in Australia, Made in Mexico
Copper is the oldest metal in human history. Middle Eastern artisans were shaping it into tools, utensils and jewellery as far back as the 5th and 6th millennia BC, and it's nice to wear something with that much history, especially when it's been shaped by hand. This wavy copper torque has a sculptural, organic feel you don't get from cast or machine-made pieces, because each curve comes from the artisan's hand rather than a mould.
Designed by Makers & Providers in Australia and ethically made by skilled artisans in Mexico, the torque is about 15cm × 13cm with a 3mm × 1.5mm cross-section. It feels substantial but is light enough to wear all day. There's no clasp: the open torque sits at the neckline and can be gently adjusted to fit most necks.
Copper is also traditionally associated with health benefits, including relief from arthritis pain and improved circulation, so it can be a thoughtful gift for someone who cares about wellness as well as looks. Over time copper develops a warm patina that many people love. If you'd rather keep it bright, clean it at home with table salt and white vinegar, either rubbed on with a soft cloth or as a brief boil in water.
